By request of the Chairman of the British Guild of Beer Writers, a wide range of Brewery produce formed the “English highlight” of a reception lunch party for a group of 22 Austrian brewers visiting the United Kingdom. To mark the 20th anniversary of the brewery The Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire launched a new beer named after his Office and incorporating the Lieutenancy colours, believed to be the first in England. 1999 Buckinghamshire County Celebration Ale mashed in and subsequently launched by Sir Nigel Mobbs, Lord Lieutenant for Buckinghamshire, accompanied by buglers from the Royal Green Jackets to mark the year 2000. The Chiltern Brewery Chandlery Range described as best allrounder in the United Kingdom by Mrs Susan Nowak in her new Beer Cook Book. Mrs Nowak is Chairman of The British Guild of Beer Writers 1998 to 2000. A noted author on beer matters, she has made numerous TV appearances. 1998 Asked by Mix 96, Aylesbury’s local radio station, to brew a special beer. Launched at the Brewery by Mr Colin Dexter, author of Inspector Morse. Asked by Mayor of Aylesbury to provide a beer for the Royal Green Jackets Freedom of Aylesbury Parade. First one day national corporate event hosted at the Brewery on behalf of Oxford Brookes University. 1997 Buckinghamshire Breweries Museum featured in the County Guide to Buckinghamshire. 1996 First Buckinghamshire brewery to supply a national supermarket chain. Brewers of UK’s first University Guild beer for Birmingham University. 1995 Selected by Lensbury Club Shell UK as brewers of their 75th Anniversary Ale. The Chiltern Brewery’s 15th Anniversary Ale ‘mashed in’ and launched by the Earl of Buckinghamshire. This ceremony was broadcast by Central TV South in a news bulletin. Feature article in the London Evening Standard to record the Brewery’s 15th Anniversary. 19945 Featured twice on Anglia TV Food programme. 1994 Chosen to brew a 25th Anniversary Ale for the Open University, Milton Keynes. Buckinghamshire Breweries Museum opened first small brewers museum in the UK. First National press coverage Sunday Telegraph. 1993 Beer supplied to the House of Commons bar. 1992 Mr David Lidington introduced to the Ellesborough Division as MP for Aylesbury at the Brewery. 199 0The Chiltern Brewery became the oldest working Brewery in Buckinghamshire. 1989 Retail shop opened at the Brewery selling a new line of beer related foods, unique in the UK and worldwide as far as we know. 1983Sir then Mr Timothy and Mrs Raison visited The Chiltern Brewery Minister of State, Home Office. 1980 First new Brewery in Buckinghamshire in over a century and was launched to reintroduce the original concept of traditional local beers for local people. Marylebone Station was the first of five British Rail ‘Chiltern Line’ stations to stock The Chiltern Brewery beers.
